Enchantment

I'm taking documentary photos of my bead collection (see yesterday's resolution). They are very workaday, but then I get carried away and try something artsy. The above is a strand of tiny Islamic glass beads, crafted in the 16th-18th century in Persia. The largest bead is less than 1/4-inch across.

I am enchanted by them. I wonder why.

I am thinking about the word enchantment.
